Weekly Safety & Company Updates
Safety:
This week I would like to talk to employees about how important the Pre Job-Safety Form is. This form needs to be filled out thoroughly before any work is performed, this form is to help identify potential hazards and is a record of the job site in case an incident ever happens. In the event of an accident or incident this is the first thing we must provide the contractor for their reports, and I also must provide OSHA for any accident. This form will also help mitigate any potential hazards in your work zone.

Fall Driving Tips
-
Watch the weather: Fall weather can change quickly, so be aware of the risk of hydroplaning in heavy rain. Leave early to compensate for slowdowns.
-
Avoid leaves: Leaves can make it hard to see potholes and bumps, and you should never drive through a leaf pile. You should also be careful around turns where children may be playing.
-
Prepare for fog: Fog is more likely to form in the fall, especially at higher elevations.
-
Avoid distractions: Distracted driving is a leading cause of accidents, so avoid texting, eating, or any other activity that takes your eyes off the road.
-
Be aware of changes in lighting: Fall has fewer hours of daylight, so be aware of this when driving.
-
Stay alert near wooded areas: Autumn can mask driving hazards like deer crossings.
-
Keep a safe distance: Keep at least three seconds' distance from the vehicle in front of you.
Let’s have a great and safe week.
